PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Dear ARHS families,

A quick reminder that Curriculum Night (formerly called "Open House") is Wednesday, September 23, from 6:00–8:15 p.m. We look forward to welcoming you to ARHS for an opportunity to learn more about your student’s classes, curriculum, and school experience.

We are distributing parent/guardian schedules a little differently this year: on Tuesday, your student will receive a hard-copy schedule for you for Wednesday evening, printed on bright orange paper. We ask that all attendees to bring their printed schedule with them on Wednesday evening. You will be asked to show it as you arrive to the building.

Thanks for your patience as we implement this step, which is designed to ensure that the building is as safe for our staff and families during this evening event as it is during the school day. Please arrive through any of our three entrances: the main entrance and the entrances by the Gold and Maroon offices.

We also ask that you plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early to allow a little extra time for the entry process.

The schedule for the evening is:
  • 5:30: Doors open
  • 6:00-6:15: A
  • 6:25-6:35: B
  • 6:45-6:55: C
  • 7:05-7:15: D
  • 7:25-7:35: E
  • 7:45-7:55: F
  • 8:05-8:15: G
  • 8:15: Dismissal

Finally, our school store, The Gonk Shop, will be open from 5:45–7:00 p.m. on Curriculum Night, offering a selection of Algonquin apparel and accessories.

We look forward to seeing you Wednesday evening!

Sincerely,
Sean Bevan
Principal, Algonquin Regional High School

SCHOOL NEWS

From The Northborough Scholarship Fund:
From The Neary School:
ATTENTION NEARY ALUMNI!! Please see the following note from Neary Principal Millett:

You're Invited to Join the Neary School Council

We are inviting Neary alumni, family caregivers, and staff members to join the Neary School Council for the 2026–27 school year.
The School Council provides an opportunity for members of our community to share feedback, offer different perspectives, and help support the continued growth of our school. It is one important way families, caregivers, and staff can have a voice in the work happening at Neary.
Meetings will be held from 3:15–4:00 p.m. in the Neary Conference Room on:
  • Thursday, October 8, 2026
  • Wednesday, December 9, 2026
  • Tuesday, February 10, 2027
  • Wednesday, May 12, 2027
If you are interested in serving on the council, please email me directly: tmillett@nsboro.k12.ma.us. We hope to bring together a group that represents a range of voices and perspectives. If family and caregiver interest exceeds the number of available seats, participants will be selected at random from those who express interest.
Thank you for considering being part of our work at Neary. We value the opportunity to work together to support our students and school community.

Thanks!
Mr. Millett
