Informational update from ARHS: Student Travel Opportunity to Spain, April Break 2027
Dear Sophomore and Junior families,
I am happy to share that we are offering an international school trip opportunity for the first time in many years. Please see the information below for more information. Please contact Mr. Greenwald with questions at egreenwald@nsboro.k12.ma.us:
Dear Class of 2027 and Class of 2028 Families,
We’re so excited to share that we’re planning a student trip to Spain during April Break 2027 with EF Educational Tours, and your student is invited!
We’ll spend the week exploring the energy of Madrid, the medieval walls of Ávila, the Roman ruins of Mérida, and the golden streets of Toledo.
Here are some highlights from the itinerary:
Explore the Alcázar of Segovia and the Royal Palace of La Granja de San Ildefonso—fairy-tale architecture and 18th-century royal history
Walk through the Roman Theatre of Mérida—one of the best-preserved Roman sites in all of Europe
Visit the University of Salamanca—one of the oldest universities in the world
Make yemas in a hands-on cooking workshop in Ávila, and learn the centuries-old story behind this treat right where it was born
Ride a zipline over the ancient city of Toledo and explore its streets where Christian, Muslim, and Jewish cultures have coexisted for centuries
RSVP here to join us for an informational meeting on June 16th at 6:00 PM in D119.
A few important notes about trip participation:
Students participating in the trip are expected to have strong attendance and a positive disciplinary record at school. Students may be excluded from participation based on attendance concerns or disciplinary history.
This trip is open only to students in the Classes of 2027 and 2028.
If interest in the trip exceeds the number of available spaces, a lottery system may be used to determine participation in a fair and equitable manner.
Students do not have to be enrolled in a Spanish class to participate.
Sincerely,
