Informational update from ARHS: Weekly update, 2/6/26

Posted Date: 02/06/26 (01:22 PM)

alt_textToday marked the first day in which a new group of ARHS students from the Early Childhood Education course began working with our Algonquin Preschool students, the Tiny Titans. Several of the Tinys were especially intrigued by Mr. Bevan’s walkie-talkie, and a few even had the opportunity to radio the office on his behalf. Through the course, Early Childhood Education students become teachers in the Preschool with an emphasis on developing skills needed to teach young children, developing original curriculum, and on how to run a high quality preschool. PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE

PLEASE NOTE: The link to PowerSchool that I sent earlier - for families to access report cards - was inaccurate. The accurate link is here. I apologize for the confusion.

Dear ARHS families,

Please see the important note below from Supt. Martineau, who is seeking your input on the reauthorization of the Strategic Plan for our three districts:

Dear parents, students, and staff,

The Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough is reauthorizing its Strategic Plan, Vision 2026: Educate, Inspire, and Challenge. First approved in the spring of 2021, this plan has guided the District’s priorities and actions over the past several years. As we look ahead, it is time to chart the course for the next six years - and we invite our community to help shape that future.

This fall and winter, the District is collecting input from students, families, staff, and community members through multiple avenues, including a community-wide survey. The survey mirrors the January 2021 version, allowing comparison of new feedback with the original baseline data. These insights will inform the goals, priorities, and key actions that will define the next phase of the District’s Strategic Plan.

Your participation in the survey is greatly appreciated. Survey Link

Respectfully,

Greg Martineau

Also, this week’s Valentine's Day-themed logo was created last year by a student in the class, Graphic Design for Publications, Tyler Herrod, who graduated last Spring.

Have a great weekend, everyone.
Sincerely,
Sean Bevan

From our Nurses:
We are officially in the thick of a flu season that isn’t just knocking on the doors of schools across the country; it’s practically kicking them down. As of the last week of December 2025, the CDC estimates that at least 7.5 million people have already fallen ill, resulting in 81,000 hospitalizations and 3,100 deaths.  Please review this  FLU INFORMATION, as prevention and early intervention can really help reduce the rates of influenza-like illnesses in our schools.
