SCHOOL COUNCIL UPDATE

The Algonquin School Council, comprising elected parent and student representatives, as well as members appointed by the principal, serves as an advisory body under Massachusetts law, charged with supporting school improvement planning and providing guidance on key initiatives. At our most recent meeting on November 12, Director of Athletics Mike Mocerino joined the Council to gather feedback on the Amenities Building area as part of a broader effort to explore potential improvements. We also reviewed the district’s budget outlook and discussed plans to expand elective offerings in response to the graduation requirement changes approved in October.

The meeting agenda is available here. Our next School Council meeting is scheduled for December 9.
