On Thursday, members of DECA participated in "Networking Night," meeting several community members who kindly donated their time to meet with students, to share their experience and advice, and to, well, network. Members were treated to a keynote address by entrepreneur, restaurateur, and ARHS parent Oriola Koci, who spoke about the importance of having the courage to pursue one's passions and dreams. PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Dear ARHS Families,

On Friday, November 14, 2025, all Algonquin students in grades 9–12 will participate in the MetroWest Adolescent Health Survey during G Block (8:00–9:00 a.m.). This anonymous, online survey - administered every other year - asks students about a range of health-related topics, including risk behaviors that may impact their well-being. These include: alcohol, tobacco and other drug use; violence and safety; nutrition and physical activity; sexual behaviors; online behaviors; and mental health.

Algonquin has participated in this survey since 2010. The data we receive provides valuable insight into students’ health, safety, and overall school experience. Results are used to strengthen health education, enhance student support services, and improve school climate. Within the Northborough-Southborough Public Schools, survey findings have also guided professional development for staff and informed targeted supports for student groups identified as needing additional resources.

Protecting student privacy is a top priority: the survey does not collect names or any identifying information, and individual responses cannot be linked to students. Participation is voluntary: students may choose not to take the survey or skip any questions. Their grades will not be affected in any way.

If you do not want your child to participate, please complete this Google Form by Tuesday, November 12. Please contact Assistant Principal Matt Gitkind (mgitkind@nsboro.k12.ma.us) with questions.

Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting the health and well-being of all ARHS students.

Sincerely,
Sean Bevan
Principal
